West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency will check qurban (sacrificial animals) health condition one week before Eid al-Adha 1441 Hijri.

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Iwan Indriyanto stated, qurban health checking will be carried out in animal shelters. His side will check animal health certificate (SKKH), age of the animal, and carry out comprehensive qurban health check.
"We will check the animals one week before Eid al-Adha in qurban animal shelters," he asserted, Monday (7/6).
KPKP will Deploy Hundreds Personnel to Check Sacrificial Animals' HealthAccording to him, qurban health check in this year is different with the previous years. Usually, his side got assistance from students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) but not this year. However, his side ensures to receive assistance from Indonesian Veterinary Association.
"This checking will be carried out simultaneously in 8 sub-districts. Each team consist of 5 personnel," he informed.
He added, sacrificial animals slaughtering process during COVID-19 pandemic should follow the health protocols. His side has coordinate with Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) to socialize sacrificial animal slaughtering procedures during the pandemic by avoiding crowd, wearing mask, providing hand washing facilities, and others.
"For slaughtering sacrificial animals, we suggest people to do it at slaughterhouse (RPH). Thus later the meat can be distributed door-to-door without using coupon," he said.
